    hello
i dont know if this is the right place or not.
so if its not id be thankful for redirection.

    anyways,
i recieved a meade telescope model 4500 for a gift a few years ago. it has sat around and collected dust until now.
i broke it out and am going to start using it frequently.
it is a reflector telescope(least thats what i was told). i looked down the tube(?) and observed the large mirror. while looking at this mirror i noticed it looked pretty dusty and dirty.
    my question is:
how would i go about cleaning that mirror witout damaging it?
what cleanser should i use and what sort of cloth if any?
i am eager to use the telescope but i dont want to rush in and harm it in any way.

    thank you for your help.

I'm not certain if this is right for your needs, but I used Canned Air for cleaning the innards of my computers. Check with others before trying this.
