you know what they all also have the same ?

upper lip smile line cheek proportion.
    its quite a thing.
    shows obvious bias

im sure atleast half of them are really nice people n all...

i just wonder how much of a generic "type" is assigned as a cultural thing by the selectors.
as they say that looks s the issue around the bikini section being removed...
and... i am not suggesting anyone with long hair should cut it off.

i find that the generic face shape bias has remained the same.
then if you cross reference that with plastic surgery... the nose is probably second only to breasts, thus social domination on upper lip to nose to cheek/smile line proportional bias.

personally i am pro competition, however, i would like to see something like a compulsory musical instrument thrown in with an additional Art section that pushes the social norm to be signifigantly above the average male instead of dumbing women down to be chattles for idiots & psychopaths

When will the first gender swapper apply - get knocked back - scream discrimination - fight it all the way to supreme court

    That should be fun following

are you starting a troll swap meat ?

    ...

staying on topic RE: USA culture & its evolution...

why does the beauty pageant industry not follow a capitalist model ?

why is it a model of socialism ?
im not anti, i am just curious why it is that way in the heart of a capitalist culture.
What does that say about the culture?
Maybe it says something about collective womens values ?

No idea what you are talking about
Looking at trends in America it frequently appears people apply for something (and frequently the thing they apply for is not applicable to them under the rules). When they are refused it gives them a chance to cry discrimination and claim money for their "hurt"

No idea about any of that

Regards getting rid of the swimsuit segment and replace with a interactive session with the judges a comment on TV said "why not hold the event on radio?"

like rich capitalists claiming they are butt hurt by people on medicaid and unemployment beneficiaries ?
then selling that to middle class who make a point of living above working class ?

    people like that ?

Yep. Who can forget those whiney blacks who asked to be able go the same schools as the more pure people? They were refused, of course, and went crying to the courts for their "hurt." And don't even get me started on gays who wanted to get married . . .

    teh gay getting married
but they cant have children so they should not be allowed to get married.
marriage is only for people who can breed
that is what old fashioned family values is

do black people have relationships ?

I heard something on the radio yesterday about the Miss America pageant ditching its swimsuit section. Apparently, contestants will no longer be judged on their appearance...

It's a beauty pageant, isn't it? Or maybe the organisers want to change fundamentally what it is.

Is this a real example of political correctness gone mad? Are they kidding themselves?

That reeks of a Donald Trump despise...

    Means, yes it's political.

The swimsuit section is, apparently, being replaced with a section where the judges ask the contestants their hopes dreams and passions to highlight contestants smarts

So we can find out the contestants views on the world

All we need now is a few MRI scans to see the beauty of the brain

    No longer. Yes they do.

They are indeed rebranding it as a competition, not a pageant.

So the competitive part is? who has the best solution for world peace? who has the best explanation for dark matter?

One thing I will count on, no buck toothed, cross eyed professor's will appear

Yes, it's a beauty pageant. The definition of "beauty" is changing (which I think is a good thing overall.) The organizers are trying to track that; sometimes they succeed, sometimes they don't.

Yep. It's getting bigger for . . . as long as there have been dictionaries.
