Well, I'm actually neither a faggot nor technically from the arctic. More of a northern boreal biome. Taiga and mountains, mostly. Coastal, so with wet summers and mild winters.

Yes, I was worried about that too. I don't know enough about any of the mods to really be able to say that they are too lax or not. Damn, this ham sandwich is good. Anyway, how's life wherever you are? It's pretty decent here today. Worked out at the gym again this morning. That's gonna be good for me, and my psychosis, if I can keep it up. Got pissed at the dog last night, though, for snoring too loud and waking me up, over and over. Finally chased him out of the room at about 3:00 AM. I felt bad about getting angry at him, but damn he snores louder than anyone or anything. Poor dog, to have to live with me. Ah well. At least I'm just hurting his feelings. Second ham sandwich was just as good. White bread, mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheese and ham. Mmm mmm, good.

I've been under the impression that one should like work. Not just like working, but enjoy their actual occupation.

Perhaps this is my family rubbing off on me (academics and teachers), but I see the message in popculture enough to make me suppose there's a greater support for it.

My association with most academics (of which I know many) tells me they are not in it for money or prestige or glory, but because they like it. At least, they have to be in it cause they like it, because science sure pays shit, and who pays attention to biologists anyway?
But academics are weird people, driven by desires at odds with the context of their work.
