It's true that moslem radicals have less respect for the sanctity of mosques than U.S. soldiers, they hide in them, they hide behind them, they hide behind innocent muslims, in the hope that the U.S. will hand them a propaganda tool to spread more hate and lies. They use human shields, they pretend to surrender then pick up their weapons, they ignore all rules of war then complain that we don't treat them fairly. During sanctions, they complain they need us; arrest the secular totalitarian dictator that oppresses them, and they now they don't need us. Right. Someday, the children of Iraq will be free and will learn about all this, and be ashamed, but they will also look around at their freedom, and be proud.

The messages expressed by any particular religion change with time. Sometimes the peaceful aspects are expressed. Sometimes the hateful, xenophobic aspects are expressed. Peace and love are so common today, because the people have taken most of the power from the churches. If the churches win and take control of the wheel once more, then the hate will return.

asalam alaikum. That is what ur friend's family answers the phone with. It means peace be upon you and is the greeting all Muslims use.

"and is the greeting all Muslims use." If they are Muslim, then they say asalam alaikum. If they're Japanese kamikaze, then they don't.
Fun fact about "asalam alaikum" :
For every time a Muslim says asalam alaikum to one of his/her brethren, then he will recieve reward for as if he had done 70 good deeds.

    Allahu Akbar:
the meaning is God is Great. It is a statement in praise of God.

rebuke taken. I should have said muslim suicide bombers. but the point remains. it becomes hypocritical to wish peace and then blow up a cafeteria.

Considering the big picture, the best s/he can do for his/her honor, country, and safety is to withdraw to Ft. Leavenworth (which I think is more honorable than Canada) until America reaches the inevitable conclusion that this is an unjust war that is harming the interests of the United States.

Does that mean they are no longer innocent?

    Hmm...
They sure as hell aren't there for afternoon prayer...and they sure as hell aren't innocent women and children there for afternoon prayer.

I said synagogue. Is a church a synagogue? Lots of churches have been attacked throughout history.. that's nothing new. Dont you remember all those churches that were attacked during the Tutsi/Hutu massacres?
And in that Pakistan case, that wasn't the Pakistani army grenading a church, it was just a group of idiots. In this case, the US army decided to go and bomb a holy place.

wha? who said anything about women and children. There were, however, many innocent men in there gathering for prayer. I'm not making this up.. It was on the front page of the NY Times, that many innocent men in the masjid were hurt, who had nothing to do with the combat.
