Late reply but what the heck...They were called the Delltones and were a local Sydney group often performing at Maroubra Surf Club and backing overseas artists on their trips to Australia along of course backing our own, The lead singer named Noel Widerberg was killed a car accident in 1962 and the bass man Peewee Wilson still performs with a new group still calling themselves the Delltones. Knocked down a couple of VBs with them in the old days!!
I recently started listening to Celtic/Irish music and came to learn that Appellation/Blue Grass music are descendants of a great migration from Ireland. I listen to the below video at least once a day because it touches me. I might have posted it here once before now.
