There are serotonin imitators, acetylcholine imitators, also several metals, like lead, are very good 'actors' in our body, but is it true that there are also vitamin imitators and hormone imitators in our body?

Enzymes fold due to their organic potential with water; water-oil phase separation analogy. The enzyme will attempt to minimize potential, while retaining a fixed potential with the water, due to exact folding. This fixed fold potential helps with active site identification. This fixed fold potential can be lowered further via an attached substrate. This lowering of potential provides incentive so even very low concentrations to be attracted.

Imitators work by first creating their own potential with the water. This composite potential is brought by the imitator, to the enzyme, via the water. The enzyme sees a slightly different exterior water potential. This changes equilibrium at the active site allowing the imitator to lower potential.

An analogy is a group of friends hanging out, with one of the friends the group clown; day to day. One day the clowns older brother visits. This changes the group dynamics as the group clown changes his role because of his respect for his brother. The older brother becomes the center of comedy. The group change to accommodate since this is now the funniest arrangement.

This leads to interesting reverse engineering theory for imitators. Say the imitator came first. It has the stronger pull and push to help rough in the enzyme function. When the imitators leave, a new lower potential state of the enzyme appears that is now more conducive to the needs of the bigger picture.

Using the big brother analogy, the big brother's first visit sets the pattern for all future comedy. Once he leaves the little brother takes up the slack and this becomes the way of the group. This theory might suggest that generic imitators could be used to help many things ay the same time. Big brother can also have a serious side that also makes sure they all study and do well; second enzyme. This may or may not reflect evolution but it might help medicine.
