Neanderthal Y chromosome DNA is missing from modern humans

It's now widely known that many modern humans carry up to 4% Neanderthal DNA. But a new analysis of the Neanderthal Y chromosome, the package of genes passed down from fathers to sons, shows it is missing from modern populations.
In theory, a woman's immune system might attack a male foetus carrying Neanderthal versions of these genes. If women consistently miscarried male babies carrying Neanderthal Y chromosomes, that would explain its absence in modern humans.

i suspect a more likely explanation is that h. sapiens sapiens males had sex with h. sapiens neandertalensis; but if the h. sapiens neandertal men impregnated a h. sapiens sapiens woman, the fetus/baby was killed. it was not an 'equal society'.

Here's some good evidence that Neanderthals were being eaten by sentient beings. The article suggests it was other Neanderthals. I suspect it was, instead, the invading H. sapiens sapiens ('Cro Magnon') who, after mating with the Neanderthal women, had a good BBQ. http://www.inquisitr.com/3290427/neanderthals-participated-in-cannibalism-says-new-research/

I posted about this in another thread. The article of the eating of the H.s.neanderthalensis is evidence that they were being eaten, most likely, by H.s.sapiens (modern humans). Since the male babies of the forced cross-breeding did not survive, that implies that these were forced matings (sex slaves), with the potential future adversary (male) killed and the potential future sex slaves (female babies) allowed to grow up and reproduce. Hence, we do not see H.s.neanderthalensis Y chromosomes in modern people, even though most modern people now have up to about 4% H.s.neanderthalensis genes in us (from the other chromosomes that are shared with all females and males equally).

The plausible explanation is that H.s.sapiens had raiding parties, killing the male H.s.neanderthalensis, making the females into sex slaves, and BBQ-ing those that were killed (hence the slice marks on the H.s.neanderthalensis bones as per the article). This might not be a 'politically correct' explanation positing that our ancestors engaged in such behavior, but it is the best explanation I've seen to fit the facts. And we do see similar behavior today (of primitive groups taking sex slaves while killing the males, even if not eating the deceased).
