I think it's perhaps the right time to be again consider the expansion of topics offered by sciforums. I'm offering some suggestions that have been proposed in the past and some new ideas. I'm not certain what the interest-level will be, so I'm hoping to get some feedback. If you have any suggestions of your own, please post them here. Similarily, if you would be interested in moderating a particular forum, let me know. under Science: Computer Science (algorithms, programming languages, theory, design) Human Science (evolutionary anthropology, archaeology, psychology) Prehistoric Science (early life, extinctions, paleontology) Aesthetics & Design (architecture, graphics, computer art, fashion) under Life: Travel & World Culture Sports (suggested by Elbaz) other ideas? As stated already, these are just ideas. I'm not convinced that all of them could stand alone as forums. Some of them (like Aesthetics & Design) are mere indulgences in my own personal interests. Others (like Computer Science and Human Science) have been proposed before and just never implemented.
Sounds good, Porify. If you get any ideas for World Affairs and Poltics slap 'em up there. I'll be sure to consult.
How about SEXUALITY? An on going debate would be an enlightening experience and I can't think of anything that would be as popular.
tablariddim ... With appropriate subforums: Hetro, Gay, Les, Bi, etc.? By the by, the \777 thread has been popular enough to devote a whole forum to it.
Nice one Porfiry! I like all those ideas... especially the Human & Prehistoric science...if you need a moderator give me a shout! How about a general "Archaeology & World History" instead of just Archaeology?
hey... hi Porfiry, look good, but im not into sports so thats a no for me, what about a computer games forum...it might be quite good. If you need any help at all i'll be glad to. cya
another hi again, you could have one just on theorys...as in every other forum theres theorys popping up everywhere( some unwanted where they were), so why-not.
Please let me moderate the sports forum!!!!! PleaseeeeeeeeeePlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! BTW, what does a moderator have to do? Again please nominate me for the sports forum moderator, I love sports, pleaseeeeeeee! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
If /777 gets his own forum, I want one for the war on terrorism. I think that's a reasonable request. There are other things in world affairs and politics going on, it would free up space.
What about criminal sciences like, forensic pathology, profiling and so forth,I guess not many people are as morbid as myself but if anyone else is into this sort of thing let me know. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
The Aesthetics thread sounds nice, as does Prehistoric and Computer Science. What about: Launguages and Literature (construction, origin, literary critism, books) ? Sensible moderation is the key to an ensured survival.
Chagur no need for sub-forums, I'm not looking for a sex message board. A general one, similar to 'religion', should suffice for a debate, I'm sure people will post under the headings of their choice.
tablariddim ... That being the case, which forum would it be under? Life? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
For the love of God, please no conspiracy theory forum. It can be under philosphy, or free thoughts. Its a pseduo-subject at best, we don't need a forum like that.
How about... A totally new age, soul searching, illuminating , sect-leader boosting forum? How about that?! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Which I , of course, would have to moderate. I mean, who else? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Or like MuliBoy have suggested to me a "free-idea-forum"? Where people can write down their ideas that they donĀ“t have time or effort to realize themselves and let them be free for others to take and use. Like an idea-pool?
