I was just thinking that two of the same thing would be fine, they don't need to be different when they both mean generally the same thing.

I mean: discussions like "What is in [y]our dreams", "Som[e]thing about home", and "Dear Abby..." are about personla life and things like "Evolution". "Spacecraft submissions", "Cashless Society", and "Jokes" are about ... ehh... 'the rest'. what do you think about it?
Parapsychology doesn't contain Astrology, for that is a human invention. A pretty smart invention with all its calculations and naming every one a Birth Sign and the whole horoscopes they calculate just by going on the time of birth and place and so on, but a human invention. Dreams are Parapsychologic field. Think about the Lucid Dreams and foresights humans have during their sleep. Parapsychology contains the unexplained, not human inventions!! And how to learn to keep in contact with your Deeper Self and to handle from out there and your feelings. And it makes you aware again of your own human body which is a whole medicine factory on its own and doesn't need the chemical interference of doctors in the first place. Remember when the first 'chemical' doctors started to exist?? When this human race invented all the artificial chemicals and added all the garbage to our food and drinking supplies. How you think it comes that there are so many heart diseases and cancer?? All by itself?? The human body exists by influences of the Cosmos. Remember the Moon and the tides?? The human body acts the same way...Why you think we exist for 65 % out of water?? Look in your living place during the ful Moon and notice the difference in behaviour of your fellow humans. Just a little example. And it is not a scienc, nor a Pseudo science. But I agree that Psychology can go hand in hand with Parapsychology... They both concern the human Spirit... I stay with my wanting a Forum especially for Parapsychology and Psychology...
Heart disease hasn't increased-it's just been documented more. Back in the dark ages and during the reign of Rome there weren't as many rich people, so food was scarce amongst poor people, and that meant that there wasn't as much heart disease. It also wasn't catologued because no one knew what it was in the first place. And cancer has become more common from the weakening of the ozone layer due to pollution and the testing of nuclear weapons. It's not the chemical scientists faults. They're the ones trying to fix the problems, not create new ones.

I said I would applaud a psychology forum (since I am a psychologist) - and that parapsychology in no relevant way related is to psychology. Judging by this thread, and other posters, I realise something else that is missing from the Category list. Environment O-zone, pollution and effects on our Ecology. or Environmental Sciences Discussion of Technological advancements to save out Environment. (I should of mentioned that latter sooner, since I have come from a background for the destruction of unwanted gas, and now gas repower generation.)
Yeah those two would definitely get a lot of attention, there seems to be no shortage of (including me) environmental liberals. I always thought that we need more conservatives and more skeptics who are just plain asswipes, porfiry you could send out an incentive all over the internet asking people who have no solid evidence to back up their statements to head on over to sciforums and duke it out with us liberals. Most of the time everyone just agrees with everyone else. If not for people like Mr. G (who is the exact opposite of banshee), who I believe does back up his statements with fact, I think sciforums would be a much dull er place. I want asswipes!

New ideas I was reading a thread a few days ago where everyone contributed a website that may have been of interest to anyone. Today I've just spent 45 minutes looking for the thread but no luck. I remember Wet1 had an address for a physics website that I thought at the time I would get back to later. Since I haven't found it yet, can anyone help? And why not have that as one of the topics - 'Websites of Interest' or something like that? People could put the address in the post and give a little summary of what it's about for anyone who's interested. I still say that we need a free thoughts 2, a forum exactly the same that's just there to accomodate all of the 'thinking' going on in the other. I like the idea of parapsychology, and I support the idea that anything under subcultures should have a funny definition. Pseudoscience should stay the way it is, I think porfiry actually mentioned saying 'the truth is somewhere' awhile ago when we were discussing pseudoscience or something. I said it should be 'the truth is in here.' But who am I to fight the master that holds the reins of the chariot that is sciforums?
