42% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. That is the lowest level of approval yet measured for this president. 56% now disapprove of his performance. Rasmussen reports 44% of Americans strongly DISAPPROVE of Obama's performance. That gives him a presidential approval index rating of -20! http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...ministration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll 41% say that a group of people randomly selected from the phone book would do a better job than the current Congress. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
This isn't about Rasmussen. It's about the fastest failure EVER! Even Obama's most dedicated sheep are fleeing. The DOW plunged 200 points in the first 2 minutes of trading today. We're really fcked. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I disagree. We saw a record-high DOW over 14,100 under W. We saw employment at "full". We saw high consumer confidence. We saw record-high housing growth. Life was awesome under W until the liberals took over CONgress in'07. Then we were fcked.
I wonder with the modern innovation of persistent media attacks on presidential and congressional representatives if approval polls will ever be normal. Bush ratings wouldn't have been as low without constant attacks from the left, and yadda yadda true for the president and congress.
The polling agency in question doesn't even attempt at "normalcy" in the first place - it's part and parcel of the Republican media machine.
I don't think it's about the media. Most people regard anti Obama media as slanderous lies. To add to that, even several Democrats are against Obama.
According to Gallup, G.W. Bush was down to 25% in October of 2008. Ronald Reagan was down to 35% in May of 1983. http://www.gallup.com/poll/116677/p...ings-gallup-historical-statistics-trends.aspx Did anyone really not think this was coming? Many Americans are suffering, and are eagerly looking for someone to blame. It'll probably get worse before it gets better.
Yet another case of Rasmussen finding one thing and every other pollster finding something else. These are starting to stack up.
Really, let see; http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=121577§ionid=3510203 Gallup poll on Obama's Job performance a 61% disaproval rating http://www.nationalreview.com/onthenews/? A new Quinnipiac poll on Obama’s first year in office shows even worse splits. Just 35 percent of those surveyed approve of the president’s handling of health-care in his first year, while 58 percent disapprove. Americans’ negative opinion of Obama’s health policies reflects a broader disenfranchisement with his handling of the economy. Obama’s approval/disapproval split on the economy sits at a 41/51 split, and on job creation at 34/59. The Quinnipiac poll also shows a breakdown of support for the president among white and independent voters. A majority of whites (54/37) and a plurality of independents (47/40) rate Obama’s first year in office as a “failure.” And the Congress undr the Democrats OMG; http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=121577§ionid=3510203 The new Harris poll finds that only 10 percent of Americans believe Congress is doing a good Job, down from 16 percent in January. That also constitutes an all-time low.
to bad really because Obama is the most intelligent US president the US has had in many , many yrs. back to Kennedy ?
a date comes to mind...hmm wonder what is was?? September something Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Wow has anyone seen this shit? http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html its like a logarithmic curve, its beautiful, its looks like obama is plateauing at 50/50 with no more undecided left. I have a beleif that today's media does that somehow, that there are feedback mechanism that keep political rivalry at neck and neck, I don't have a clue what these mechanisms are but they their uncanny!
The underlined words "every other pollster" in my post are a hyperlink. They lead to the eight latest polls on Obama's job approval (from this month) compiled on RCP. Those include: Quinnipiac (5/19 - 5/24) 1914 RV 48 43 +5 Gallup (5/22 - 5/24) 1547 A 48 44 +4 Both showing essentially the same thing as each other and the same thing as the latest NBC/WSJ poll, CBS poll, even the Fox poll only finds 46 percent disapproval. One more, Rasmussen is way out in right field.
I just find it a little odd that Rassmusen always produces the numbers Fox wants, and Fox always cites Rassmusen almost exclusively. The other media outlets routinely cite a number of polling sources...not just one.
