Border security happens in many ways, a fence is only one of them. No one said that a fence would stop boaters, flyers or tunnelers... but it would prevent a lot of the pedestrians.... which is the only thing it's meant to do.

The drug trade is so profitable, smugglers are building homemade submarines. They will find a way to get in. I'm more concerned about ordinary people looking for work and ignoring their own nation's political problems.

The fence will never stop drugs... it won't even put a dent in the drug trade. I'm not even worried about drugs-- if people want to kill themselves, I think we should help them, but it's illegal immigration I care about.

That's not true, String. Where the fence has been built, it's had great success.

The planned fence will be hell on wildlife - cats and bears and wolves and coatimundis and peccaries and tortoises and so forth.

Animals often need to travel north and south, in that kind of environment.

Yeah, and most people want to think drugs are only consumed by rich college kids at frat parties. What a joke.

What they dont realize is that minorities suffer the most, so it helps to have illegals in U.S with more money to spend on this poison.

Look at it this way, the northern and southern populations will diverge into new species, we are assisting diversity!

Now if we just felt that way about people. (The assisting diversity part, not the diverging part)

That may be so, but as I wrote earlier: The fence has worked well where it has been built, so a political decision has to be made about sovereignty versus animal migration habits...

We could have an animal checkpoint and give them biometric ID cards.

    "Well, Americans:
    What, nothin' better to do?
Why don't you kick yourself out?
    You're an immigrant too.

    Who's usin' who?
    What should we do?
Well you can't be a pimp
    And a prostitute too."

Heard it on the radio, thought it was very apt, especially the last few lines.

My great-great-great- great-grandfather was a Immigrant, 3 of those grand fathers were born in this land my father, and I was to, so get your head out of your fourth point of contact, I am not a Immigrant, I am a native.

Interesting that you took it personally(and also ignored the last part).
    Try thinking about it.
