I have proposed a game, inspired by the Agree to Agree? Game thread in General Philosophy. In this thread, the rule is that ya must post in questions. Yer not allowed to make a statement or an exclaimation. It must be a question. The exception is if I'm posting how the game is going. Also, if someone asks me for a new rule, I will obviously need to make a statement to enact the rule, so another exception is if I'm handling rules - editing, removing, enacting. Whosoever breaks the rules shall be penaltied -1 point. Whosoever goes for SEVEN posts in a row without breaking a rule shall be awarded +1 point. Yer point total can go into the negative. If I can't decide definitively if a rule was broken, -0.5 points shall be penaltied. A half-point penalty ends yer rule-abiding streak. I wanna see how far this game goes. So remember: Rule #1: You must post questions, not statements or exclaimations. Rule #2: Âðelwulf may defy rule one, but only if he is posting the status of the game and is editing, removing, or enacting rules. Rule #3: Whosoever breaks a rule is penaltied -1 point Rule #4: Whosoever posts 7 posts in a row without breaking a rule is awarded +1 point. Rule #5: If there is any doubt whether a rule was broken or not, -0.5 points shall be penaltied and the then-current rule-abiding streak shall end. Peace, Love, Health, and Happiness (and in the case of this game, Luck) to all! Let the games begin . . . NOW!
Isn't the point to continue with a train of thought until the only avenue is utterance of a statement?
Of course, now will you pay hommage to the concept of the comma? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Not at all, the comma allows me to added together a string of thoughts, statements, and questions, ya think?
