So did the real thing. Also bamboo and many kinds of reed. But it's better not to use milkweed or wild parsnip stems, since their pith is toxic. Alternatively, you can learn to drink directly from a glass, like grownups.

I don't get out much. Check out others made from seaweed, even rice. Off topic, off the top of my head, I can't think right now of any drink made from something from the sea.
If you drink, don't drive! Seriously, having a cup in your hand and your eye on the end of that tiny straw isn't so much less distracting than using a phone. Nobody needs to eat and drink while driving - it just means you're doing both badly. The soft drink dispensers came up with that marketing idea so that they could sell you a quart of water - mostly frozen - with a squirt of syrup at the price of a beverage.
This reminds me that I had a great chocolate malt a few weeks back. It is hard to find chocolate malts anymore, much less one that is good.
