Hi admins, I keep on, noticing that your forum is still using the http protocol, I would advice you to use a certificate to make connections to the site secure and only approachable with https.
It will probably safe you from a future hack as well.
And some browsers are already identifying your site as insecure.

Just a suggestion, hope one you will apply.
Edit: 'Let's encrypt' hands out free ssl certificates!

Is this a possible reason why the site was down yesterday? (hacked?)

    It might very well be.
And I don't like to put in my, user & pass, both can easily be watched by others (hackers) on the internet if there's no security certificate.

Or one could copy this site and reroute all traffic to that site without users knowing they're using the non-original site. Just one more possibillty... Plenty of reasons to implement such a certificate as soon as possible.

It is a sensible idea. I'm assuming the site owners are aware of the issue.
