The earlier you start teaching your kids, the better. Teach em to read, too. Teach them young. Read to them lots. The more attention you sow your kids in the hope of them doing well, the more likely they'll do well. See if it's possible at all to raise them without television. They'll want less stuff and be cheaper to raise. Hard to do that, though. TV makes a good baby sitter. Have one parent teach Portugese, the other English. By the time they get to school, they'll learn plenty of English, so it will be your job at home to teach them Portugese. g'luck
