Until he finally boiled over, James T. Hodgkinson (link) was relatively unnoticed. Then, in a rage, he went on a suicide mission against american government as left-leaning Twitter-account users cheered on. But how do you tell him from about half the posters on a public forum like this one?

"Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It's Time to Destroy Trump & Co." he posted on his personal Facebook page on March 22.
"Republicans are the Taliban of the USA," he posted in February.

Now comments like that are sure to earn some likes and blue thumbs.

"Hodgkinson's online presence was largely defined by his politics. For example, his public Facebook posts date back to 2012 and are nearly all about his support for liberal politics."

Perhaps, obsessed would be an understatement. We see pages like this on both ends of the political spectrum. Something is not healthy.

"Hodgkinson's own descriptions on social media portray him as an avid consumer of political shows. His favorite television shows were listed as "Real Time with Bill Maher;" "The Rachel Maddow Show;" "Democracy Now!" and other left-leaning programs."

...and it's like a cancer eating away at our democracy, fed by dementia from the news media.

"He had also joined several anti-GOP Facebook groups, including "Terminate The Republican Party;" "The Road to Hell Is Paved With Republicans;" and "Join The Resistance Worldwide!!""

It's a good time for liberals and conservatives to both reflect. Peace.

How do you tell any one person whom you do not know from any other person whom you do not know? Are you including yourself amongst the "half the posters on this forum" whom one might have difficulty distinguishing from Mr. Hodgkinson? The reality is, you can never tell who might "go off the deep end," but personally, I'm for more inclined to harbor suspicions about those who routinely do not engage others in good faith, i.e., those whose sole intent is to advance an agenda under the false pretense of holding an honest discussion.

"Rockstar and conservative activist Ted Nugent has promised to tone down his hateful political rhetoric on the heels of accused gunman James T. Hodgkinson opening fire on the GOP congressional baseball team in Alexandria, Virginia on Wednesday. Some lawmakers and media members have blamed hateful political rhetoric for the incident.

“I’m not going to engage in that kind of hateful rhetoric anymore,” Nugent said Thursday on “Curtis & Eboni,” a political talk show on WABC Radio in New York.

Curtis Silwa and Fox News host Eboni K. Williams grilled Nugent on “hateful” rhetoric, which the rock star is no stranger to. Nugent has made threats against former President Obama several times in the past, including telling Obama to “suck on my machine gun.” He also made inflammatory remarks about Hillary Clinton, calling her a “devilbitch” who “hates everything good about America.”

So after forty years of this crap from from the Confederacy, you suddenly notice?
When it's decades of dementia from your side, it's no problem. The smallest hint of it maybe spreading to the people you've been calling "liberals", and you're all in a tizzy.
Why are you listing reasonable and sensible media as sources of dementia, instead of the crazy?

If you are having trouble identifying the sources of this kind of dementia, "2nd Amendment solutions" and the like, because you don't know what they look like apparently, ask some of your lefty acquaintances to help you. We've been dealing with this stuff our entire lives.
