Point out the contradiction, or shut up. Don't play coy. So you are enlightened and beyond cultural memes? Lol.
Don't be rude, wynn. I play the game on my own terms. Life is full of imponderables and irreducible observations and concepts. Get back to me once you have solved them all, or even one.......Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
You accuse me of contradictions, but you refuse to say what they are, and expect me to just believe you? For unintelligent people, perhaps. With all your PC, you couldn't see a solution and if it would be staring you in the face.
I have neither the time nor the interest to debate you. Just put me down on your unintelligent list and move on, LOL.... This seems like a good place to cross reference another thread. http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?p=2880795#post2880795
The attack wife and I were together for 5 years before we tied the knot... We tried having a joint savings. I was too nervous.
I wasnt actually so much refering to savings, more to the daily expense account, savimg together may be a sign of commitment but if you cant agree on how to spend the weekly shopping dont get married
Uh...it is OK to wait that additional minute to collect your thoughts enough to put them in one post rather than flipping them up one after another minute by minute. Not every person has the drive to have sex, just as not every couple is fertile. Those first couple of meetings establish a base level of biological compatibility via chemical and facial/body signals. The social compatibility is figured out a bit further on. Why is this important? Because our young are very dependent on their parents for a very long time, much due to our evolutionary investment in a large brain, and 2 parents are much better than 1 for that. That brain is vastly more dangerous than a saber toothed tigers canines or a pack of wolves. We are the principle predator on this planet. Oh yeah - we also do indeed have canines. Go look in the bathroom mirror and you will see them unless you have lost them. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Shhh... It is more fun to see someone claim that he is not going to have sex with someone he has not met yet. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Casual sex - no. Sex with someone you might marry - definitely. Sexual compatibility is not the be-all and end-all of committed relationships but it is certainly a big part of most. It would be very sad to marry someone with whom you looked forward to a sexual relationship, only to find out after you were married that you were so incompatible that you could not have a healthy sexual relationship. That sort of thing is best discovered before you commit to spending the rest of your life with someone.
Bravo, can you imagine your looking forward to daily sex with your new wife, only to find out that once a month is as much as she is willing to suffer through. And people would think he's a very bad guy for getting a little on the side. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I know. What I was pointing out to wynn was that man on animal, alone and without tools, we can't do anything that could save us even compared to a hunting dog. But our brains are indeed the amazing tools that have enabled us the conquer the planet.
Why not? how are you going to learn the tricks to thrill your partner and learn what tricks you like if you only sleep with one person?
The resources are all ours [minerals, fuels], a large portion of game is our cattle and a loarge portion of grass is our crops and we control about 35-40%of all the energy from the sun in the biomass. We have explored space. Compared to other animals, as for now, we indeed have conquered the planet, sort of.
I say no only because the temptation can sometimes be to have sex to the point that it becomes the foundation of the relationship. Sex is not a strong foundation of a successful, long-term relationship. But if you are so emotionally connected to your partner that you can still see them as more than just a source of pleasure, then why wouldn't you get married anyway?
Well said and I agree. The sexual component is but one value of many in the complex nature of an enduring relationship. After those first few months of limerance, how many hours of the average day do you expect to spend between the sheets? Sex is great and good sex is fantastic but it's perhaps over-rated by some. This is not entirely surprising considering that it has been exploited relentlessly in marketing. :bugeye:
