I stand by my original post. These ideas do have merit in that you have thousands of post-apocalyptic worlds in which to base sci-fi stories.

    Gifted,

My whole point in those posts was to give just a glimpse of pessimistic ideas about our future.Arent we going over Paranoid about this Enviornmental stuff?...

I would have loved to hear some Random facts like:

We would be able to Invent FTL vehicle.
We would Be able to crack most of our own Life connected Mysteries.

We would have Commercialization of Space Travels...

We would have Invented AI completely.

    Space Colonies would be established...

These things would naturally fade away or own Envionmentalists concerns which are parnoid anyways...isnt it?

    bye!

What the fuck is wrong with you people? Do you have no consideration that the earth is dying? Seriously, do you realize how insignificant each human life is? Humans dance around in life fucking up the earth. Take some responsibility you pitiful shits.

the earth can't die since it is not alive. the biosphere and all live within might perish. I seriously doubt we could kill all life. Maybe we will manage to kill all human life and most of the larger animals. But since we are insignificant as you have mentioned that doesn't really matter, or does it?

There are too many significant ecosystems being destroyed by humans. We probably won't kill ALL life, but we are certainly headed in the direction. I wont be surprised when the government starts funding trash dumping in the ocean.

    People = shit.

The deepest parts are the best place for properly packaged radioactive waste.

Explain how you can justify this. Just because we dont know the deepest parts of the ocean, we have the authority and audacity to dump extremely volatile wastes into innocent waters?

How can you even possibly reason this?

an extreme case of short term vision. Are you a politician by accident?

Last I knew, large areas of the Atlantic have no life on the sea-bed. Therefore, there is no ecosystem to pollute, and all you have to do is make sure that the waste doesn't leak. I believe that they turn it into a glass. The stuff will be shielded by the water until it's decayed enough to be safe.

Added:it's cheapest, aside from burying the stuff, which is better?

There is life everywhere. Sea fans, tubes, plankton, etc...

Yes, it is the cheapest, but is it the smartest?

NOT producing waste you don't know how to store safely is better.

and the ocean floor is not devoid of life. And water circulates, even this deep.

There are more people alive today than have ever died on this earth.

    I like that one.

I would hope that we have Fusion Power mastered by then, or at least we've made it effecient.

We could also dispose of trash(anything) in a fusion reactor. That would be nice.

Hoping doesnt do shit. That why I hate complacent Americans who just sit on thier asses waiting for pollution and deforestation to fix itself. I too wish that Fusion would occur, but I dont expect it to just appear. I try to make a difference in the world that is happening in the present. I think everyone should roll around in a dumpster atleast once a week so they know how animals feel.

Just because I "hope" fusion will be mastered soon does not mean that I sit on my ass waiting for pollution and deforestation to fix itself. I have been interested in possibily attaining a degree in Nuclear Physics, but instead I'm going for Petroleum engineering so I can make a difference there.

What makes you so great that you can call Americans lazy and saying that we don't give a damn about the enviroment? What have you done for the world?
