I think rap nowadays is atrocious, and is the biggest factor for the Black community's downfall. Today's prominent names are nothing compared to the 80s/early 90s stuff. I'm talkin' about 'Pac, Biggie, Ice Cube, Eazy, Too Short, Flash, Sugar Hill ... they were fuckin' awesome! I personally like rap for its extremely clever lines and strong beats. Growing up in the hood, rap battles have been a routine custom in my life.
