Well, in the Complex Plane, "reality" would correspond to the projection of the hypotenuse onto the Real axis, i.e. the "adjacent", whereas the projection onto the Imaginary axis would be the "opposite": z = r(Cos θ +iSinθ).

    Sylwester,

    Reality is that medium?

Reality is ALL mediums. It is also a Large and X-Large, but not a Small or Petite.

Since reality is friction, reality can reach a maximum value as it does with static friction. So reality is frictional change. And as q_w pointed out in the second post, that change converts thermal energy into kinetic energy, so all of these are one reality.

Well, actually, it is friction that converts kinetic energy to thermal energy, but what is important is who is hot, not how we got hot, right

…and the function of lubricants is to reduce reality to a minimum.

I had no idea my career had such fundamental philosophical consequences.

It doesn't. Reduced friction increses kinetic energy, and kinetic energy is also relaity, right Spellbound!

On the lowest level of Nature, the kinetic energy and thermal energy are the same.

Why does reducing friction increase kinetic energy? I can see it reduces the rate at which kinetic energy is converted to heat but that is not the same. Or is this all different in Spellbound's mystery world?

You're the professional. If you say that reducing friction on a moving object doesn't convert energy to kinetic energy of the moving objects, then I stand corrected.
