As you know, Islam and Christianity are the only two religions, in the world today, that intend to capture the loyalty of all humanity. Their expansionist attitudes are clear to everybody. And so they are rivals to the bitter end. Christianity, especially in its various Western versions, is a remarkable religion. Every part of it---the fantastic Trinity, the shiny Icons, the mass, the music, the sermons, the carnival atmosphere, the halleluiah, etc., etc, etc.--- is so skillfully designed to attract, enchant, mesmerize, and captivate the masses. It's truly a religion of joy and love. Don't panic! I know Christianity cannot captivate intellectuals and hard-core skeptics. But for the masses, it's a magnet. It's fascinating. Trust me! By contrast, Islam is a very harsh and gloomy religion. Its atmosphere is dull and boring. The burden of its rituals is back-breaking. Its Deity is demanding and remote. Its Spartan attitude kills happiness and makes the outside world suspicious and hostile. In the modern world, Islam is a loser. Trust me! This rivalry between Islam and Christianity is very similar in most respects to the well-known rivalry between Communism and Capitalism during the 20th century. Therefore, if all things remain equal, there can be no doubt about which of the two will win. Christianity will win the great masses straight-out. Please, don't try to deduce the true aspirations of the Muslim masses from the appearances of Muslim students and refugees around you. Because these over-seas Moslems are supposed to be intellectuals and die-hard Muslims. The Muslim masses are very different. They long for the small joys of life, like the ones distributed by the evangelists in North America. Have you heard of a wacky guy called "Rev. Bob Jones"? You are so right! I'm not Jewish or Muslim, but when buying meat, I'll go with Kosher any day. I just wanted to make a general statement about Islam. As I've said, I'm not an expert on Judaism or Islam, but as I see it, Islam is a peaceful religion. It's the politics of the countries where Muslims live that may not be peaceful. Why do you think so many of them emigrate to America and other countries? Those that can leave, do. I think we ought to separate the religion from the politics. That's what we were supposed to have done in this country. Unfortunately, I see that with our current administration, we seem to be combining religion and politics (faith-based whatever, John Ashcroft himself, and General Boykin, etc.). Let's look at the religion by itself or go to the politics forum to discuss political issues.

Christians fear Islam because their god is different than Allah. Jews fear Islam because of ancient sibling rivalry. Atheists fear Islam because Allah may actually be the one true God. They all fear Islam because they are weak in their faith. They all fear Islam because the truths they've learned are ambiguous. They all fear Islam because they might, just might, all be wrong.

Whom exactly does Islam fear? Maybe they fear Islam because sundry zealots claiming, only claiming, mind you, to be Moslem paladins drove two aeroplanes into two large buildings, leading to rampant death and destruction. Just a thought . . .

In my lifetime it was the Koreans, the Japanese, the Germans, the Italians, the Russians, the Cubans, the Viet Cong, the Cambodians, the Iranis, the Iraqis, the French...on and on and on. Now it's the Muslims. Who will be next? The Aliens? I seriously doubt THEY will just fly a couple of UFOs into tall buildings if we were to provoke them. Everything is relative in the universe. We're looking for scapegoats. The true enemy is within.
