OK I just made sos(creamed beef on toast) (one of my favorite meals in the army---commonly called shit on a shingle) 4 tbs butter 4 tbs flour 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 cups whole milk(or cream, or half and half) 8 oz thinly sliced top round beef a splash of Worcestershire sauce(to taste) toast melt butter in saucepan, stir in salt pepper and flour, stir in Worcestershire sauce, stir in milk, add beef keep stirring bring to a slow boil, turn down heat, and stir till it reaches desired thickness. ladle over toast bon appetit eat
