I try to be as respectful to others as I would have them respect me.

So when you have Faith you own an angel?

    p.s. are angels mammals?

The Universe made me although it is non sentient

Later I will return to the chemicals I am currently composed of, in a much more disorded form and they will not take part in my life

Nothing to stop any of the chemicals being picked up by another life form

Unfortunately memory is not pick up able

The whole system is what makes me in awe of the Universe

    Keep your petty gods

Give me the UNIVERSE any moment

I wouldn't go that far. I don't think that faith has anything to do with being itself.

But... I do think that faith is fundamental to human (or any other) cognition. Of course I define 'faith' rather differently than many street-theists do. (My idea comes more from the philosophical and theological traditions.)

My idea of faith is the willingness to act, to commit one's self, in a situation of imperfect information. (Any biological organism or any AI can't avoid doing it.) It's related to 'reliability'. (A 'faithful companion' is a reliable companion.) Another word is 'trust'. Something that one has 'confidence' in. (The ancient Hebrew word translated as 'faith' in the OT had this kind of meaning.)

It's an honorific word for what in other contexts might be a serious defect: the willingness to jump to conclusions. In intellectual life doing that can lead to no end of errors, but in everyday life it's absolutely necessary. We couldn't live our lives without doing it.

    In science for one place.

The simplistic and stereotypical "scientific method" has people generating hypotheses, then testing them (often experimentally). But... what does producing a confirming instance have to do with the truth of a general proposition? There's a logical leap there.

Sure, why not? Even scientists (especially astronomers) are often motivated by their sense of the universe's scale, beauty and awesomeness. (Carl Sagan reverently intoning "Billions and Billions..." It obviously did something for him emotionally.) Physicists are often motivated by their sense of the universe's hidden mysteries, that they (and only they) are in a position to reveal.

So science isn't above having faith that exploring and understanding the universe has some payoff, leads towards some goal, in the direction of some result that's worth achieving. One needn't call it "God" or "Love". "Knowledge" is fine, but it's something exceedingly desireable, something to aim one's life towards. Something that gives all the rest of it meaning. The ancients called it "Gnosis".

"Stranger: In this way, then, divide all science into two arts, calling the one practical (praktikos), and the other purely intellectual (gnostikos). Socrates: Let us assume that all science is one and that these are its two forms." (Plato Statesman 258e)

    Right here, right now.

"You are a child of the universe,
    No less than the trees and the stars;
You have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should."
    -- Daniel O'Donnell

    "We are stardust.
    We are golden.
And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden."
    -- Joni Mitchell

No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should

Of course it is. It is doing so under the laws of physics

Such laws are unbending, ridged and can never be broken

Unlike the laws of god which are more in the form of suggestions and a god who gets pissed off if you are not following his suggestions

He also picks his special people and has special requirements about their bodies don't you know

Physics - your all the same. Please physics make grandmother better. Guess what happens
    1. Physics does not hear you because it is not sentient
    2. Grandmother lives or dies according to physics
Stop calling physics god and thinking you are different with some sick relationship with physics because (insert appropriate reason here)

Well not really appropriate just what ever deluded reason you think you are special

Boy I don't know what brought that on as soon as I started to wake up
    But it's not to bad
    Must need breakfast and coffee
    More later

Yes, evidence is confirmation of a reality which was once an article of faith.
There is no possible way to dismiss confirmation by experiment. That's why it is called Proof instead of Faith.

Well, some memory may have become hardwired in the microtubules of all biological organisms, including brainless organisms like plants. This would be more like a memory of "how to" rather than a specific individual event.

Orientation of microtubules in CNS neurons. A group of neurons (cortical or hippocampal) showing apical dendrites, basal dendrites, and axons. Insets show microtubule orientation in dendrites and axons. Microtubules are composed of stable (purple) and dynamic (pink) regions. Dynamic regions undergo polymerization and depolymerization, termed dynamic instability. Arrows indicate that microtubules are oriented antiparallel in dendrites (plus and minus ends distal) and parallel in axons (plus ends distal).*

I believe our universe is the ruins of heaven and Michael is a man on earth existing as a once great angel. Angel's don't have bones so its not a mammal.

Our Universe the ruins of heaven eh?

So god ID couldn't even create a heaven which would not fall apart?

Angels don't have bones? I did not know that

    No bones, not mammals, OK

So grouped in, if we actually group Angels, grouped together with
    invertebrates :-

jellyfish, corals, slugs, snails, mussels, octopuses, crabs, shrimps, spiders, butterflies, beetles to much less well known animals such as flatworms, tapeworms, siphunculids, sea-mats and ticks

WOW, that's a new one to me! I'm gonna mull that over before I respond to that one.
AFA Michael is concerned, he used to be an angel, but is no longer an angel but a man? Where does or did Michael live?

Perhaps science might someday redefine God--if they can get past the traditional definition.
