    I used to do that seti stuff. I have forgot my login etc. so i have to start over

    . And i won't be doing that till i get the computer online again. Ps is there a seti thing for linux?

    You can download the Seti program for Linux as well as for windows. Especially for you.

    To be honest, when you crunch with Linux, it goes a lot quicker, depends on your pc, too.

    Cool that linux is quicker since it's always on (pc is an oldie but i want a telescope 1st before i'm buying a new computer)

    i chrunched for seti but the damn thing kept crashing my XP. I got fed up so i haven't searched for a patch to fix the stupid thing. if there is such a patch please let me know.

    I run seti client on xp without problems.

    Try this install link. When it is ready to install, hit the ctrl button to start it.


    look for CLI Install Instructions


    Leave the priority set to normal. High is for a dedicated computer for SETI crunching and will consume all memory resources.

    ok, it haven't read the whole topic, but in the beginning I read someone saying old WU's will stay at the old team, that's not the fact:
