Is the Search feature working? I can search for posts by poster, but when I try any kind of keyword search I get no results. What's going on?
The search indices have been routinely corrupting themselves and have been responsible for at least two major shutdowns of the site in the last week or so. Our database server isn't up to the task of handling searching of all 300k posts. So, no, the search function is not really functioning right now. My suggestion is to give Google a spin, since they've got a reasonably complete index of the site.
