The idea of thousands of average joes & jolenes helping scientists understand the universe around them is so cool. The first time I heard about it I shared it with others. Whether we find anything or not doesn't matter, what matters to me is that as a people we are doing a planet-wide experiment with our eyes to the stars. There is also another Seti program, that is getting old satelite dishes & retro-fitting them to make a large network of radio telescopes. That could hopefully tract large parts of the universe. I think anytime that we can help decipher data for interesting science projects we should help if we can. I love the idea!!!!!! ET phone our home!!!!!
