I would personally say "no", it was in poor taste... but, lets face it, we had eight years of: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! and Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! and nobody on the right seemed to have a problem with it... At this point, it begs a question: Was it acceptable to hang/burn/threaten effigies of President Obama because he was a Democrat or because he was a black man? It's called hypocrisy. It's fine, natural, and patriotic when Republicans do it. But when Democrats do anything even remotely similar it's immoral , disgusting, and an abomination. Hypocrisy anyone?
Aye - I'm convinced the ONLY reason Trump keeps his little boy around is to use as a public figure - ohhh, think of the widdle children!!! Like my boy here! He didn't seem to have any such concerns about Obama's daughters hearing the vitriol he was spewing... or the birther bullshit...
Griffin apologized, I'm still waiting for Republicans to apologize for all the deplorable things the did to Clinton and Obama. Trump invited some of those unapologetic folks to the White House for a celebration.
Well, that's the thing. What your examples show - not that Kathy is likening herself to Republicans - but that she is essentially lowering herself to that of bigoted, racist, redneck pigs. That's probably not what she intended. Personally, I think it was in poor taste, but not so much that it's my place to judge her on it. Comedians are supposed to seek publicity.
