http://people.com/movies/carrie-fisher-dies/ I had hopes she would pull through, when she was upgraded from Critical to Stable condition yesterday... rest in peace, fair princess. ... Goddamnit 2016, enough already.
Did she do much after Star Wars? I remember her in the first film as a rather unappealing, bluestocking-looking Princess, with a strange hairdo. And after that?.............. But indeed, unusual for an apparently healthy woman of 60 to drop dead from heart trouble. A reminder, perhaps, to all of us over 60 that we can't take life for granted.
Really??? Healthy??? Early lifestyle not play a part??????? Actor great. Not recommended as insulation from the effects of bad choices Humpty and Poe no comments. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I confess, I'm not familiar with the phrase "bluestocking-looking" heh... but I always thought she had an air of cute determination about her: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Not much to say beyond this I guess: http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/26/healt...ck-sudden-cardiac-arrest-explainer/index.html Star Wars came out before I was born, but of course, it was cool.
Bluestocking is probably an English term. It originally just meant an intellectual woman but picked up connotations of a frumpy or rather puritanical demeanour - clever but not much fun, basically. Presumably that was just the character she played. I have no idea what she was like in real life.
And her mother follows her...how sad. Sometimes your soul companion is your own daughter. That's why she chose to go too I think.. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
