I see. So when you grudgingly agreed that she was being racist and bigoted, but then changed your mind because she was saying something you agreed with, that would make you....

What are you on about? I do not hold the "white race" accountable for all the wrongs in the world. For God's sake man, get a grip on yourself.

I have white ancestry you gormless fool. Does that mean I hold myself accountable for the treatment my white forefathers meted out to my black foremothers (not a word, I know, but you get my drift)? Again, look up the meaning of 'arsehat'. I hold the political machinery that is out to save its own skin accountable for the pain they cause others in their thirst for power and oil, regardless of their colour. Damn, this is like conversing with a brick.

I guess we differ in opinion then. Even if such comments were made by a person of any colour, against another of any nationality/religion, colour, it would still have been racist and bigoted. Trying to justify yourself by saying you have "Muslim Indian friends" does not mean that her comments in those posts were not racist or bigoted.

Read Fraggle's opinion on that issue, where he did say that while it was horrible, for the majority of Americans (in his opinion), it was not of prime importance as other things.. then you might have some idea of what she was talking about.

She considers the prisons run by the US in this War on Terror to be a major issue.. something that is a blight on human kind and the West in general. She also thinks they should be closed down immediately if the US and the rest of the West are to have any moral ground. He disagrees and does not think it is the most important thing that needs to be done and isn't discussed constantly in the US media because of its lack of importance... Apparently, destroying infrastructure, amongst killing innocent civilians, is of more importance. Had you read through that particular thread, you might have had some idea of what she was on about.

I criticised him for his belief that torturing and murdering people in prisons is of lesser importance than infrastructure. I noticed that your comments in that thread brought up an interesting point, basically agreeing with her in many ways. It is discussed on "numerous occasions".. therefore, as Fraggle pointed out earlier in that thread, the prisons do not warrant constant discussion and debate because it isn't deemed as important to many people. She thinks that's wrong. She thinks that imprisoning, torturing and murdering inmates (who have been held without charge for years on end) is an important issue and should be more important than infrastructure and they should be shut down immediately. He disagrees.. He basically substantiated what she was saying. The prisons aren't important enough to warrant constant discussion and demands for their closure.. They aren't reported on as they should be. The torture and murder of prisoners who are held without charge just don't warrant that kind of media attraction when it should be. Iceaura's comments in that thread went to the heart of the issue. Yet you failed to see it or even recognise it.

But you tell me, do you have a link where the Presidential candidates even discussed closing down the prisons? After all, if she is lying (as he accused her of on that point.. that the Presidential candidates aren't discussing the prisons), we can end this right now. You just post the links where they discussed closing them down and you'll be right.. she will be deemed a liar. As Fraggle says, there are more important things to discuss.. and closing the prisons? Well, they'll get round to it when the war ends as far as he is concerned..

Of course sweet cheeks. Whatever you say. Maybe one day you'll realise that I do not just post in this public forum but also voice my concerns and disagreements through other means.

If that were the case, I would have participated in this thread long before I did. It had been going on for quite a while before I stuck my nose in it and pointed out MW's bigotry. As you should be aware by now, nothing raises my hackles more than stuff like that. Sam being the object of the bigotry had nothing to do with it.

And Sam is a big girl and quite capable of taking care of herself. She doesn't need me or anyone else to defend her. Or hadn't you realised that yet?

For someone who apparently avoids reading her "shit", you sure seem to know quite a bit of everything she says. And you seem to be everywhere she is for the greater majority of the time.

Oh, she's not a troll. Tenacious, persistent and sometimes annoyingly one-sided on some issues. But troll? Heh..

I can't sweetie. Your fat schnoz keeps blocking my way.

She lives in the West. Has so for many years, from what I understand. Do you think she blames the common American citizen for what is happening? Or does she blame the political machinery that is putting innocent lives in danger, imprisoning and torturing people without charge, killing innocent people, etc? What do you think MH? Which do you think it is? The "West" is not the region. It is the political belief.. the grandiose statement of 'we are better', when we really are not. That is what she questions and belittles, yes, sometimes obsessively. We all know that the prisons are wrong. We all know that torturing is wrong. So if we claim to be the good guys, why do we do it? In all these years, no one has ever been able to answer that question. How are we better than 'them' when we do as they do?

Sorry, I was under the impression you actually took the time to research the subject matter before going off on a rant.

    The failure of rational processes?

Even the most superficial survey of information available on the web suggests that there is more than one statement of what taqiyya is. Indeed, you mentioned "a variety of websites". It is evident that "a variety of websites" do not express a common interpretation or regard for taqiyya unless, of course, that "variety of websites" is selected from a narrow range of expressions.

As you would imply that you have done some research on the subject, I can only wonder why you are so afraid to offer up your interpretation of what it means when you say that "It is exactly what it is stated to be, there is no question about it."

You seem to think the issue is clear-cut. Yet you are afraid to define that result. Is this because you lack confidence in your interpretation? Or is it because you are, quite simply, insincere?

Is it too much to ask of someone who holds rational processes in such high esteem to put forth a rational assessment of what something allegedly unquestionably is, that others might assess both the process and outcome?

    Apparently so.

There is a third option, but you are probably too polite to mention it.

We have been forced by the Muslims here, due to their intellectual dishonesty and unethical behavior, to provide sources only they would approve. Sam posted link(s) which she approves, and those are the ones we concentrated our discussion.

As I said, the Muslims here only approved of certain interpretations.

It is certainly clear cut as to what interpretations are acceptable to Muslims.

Am I to repeat myself for your sake?
