    Hillarious!!!!

Stand on a building and on a crystal clear day, how far can you see even with a large telescope?

Answer: no matter where you stand, you can only see as far as the horizon because of the CURVATURE of the EARTH!!!

Are people like this actually REAL?

Maybe he is saying: 'you cannot see the curvature'. Which is interesting.

    Why is that?

tilt your head to either the right or left (slowly). does the view turn with your hed or does the view stay straight?

(i dont mean turn your head, tilt it)

I have seen the curvature left to right, but it depends on where you are observing same. You need no visual restrictions, eg: looking out to sea.

It is not correct. You are mistaken. The moon will not eventually be lost from orbiting the Earth. If you claim this to be true please provide citations of papers from peer reviewed journals, or recognised text books to justify your claim.

I am not posting an opinion, but an objective observation based upon bona fide research. Since I have I high regard for NASA I suspect you have misinterpreted something published under their auspices.

Yes, I wish you would read the bloody posts. I clearly say none of your scenarios can come to fruition, not none of your scenarios have come to fruition.
You may be accustomed to being smarter and more manouverable than your colleagues, but that doesn't stop you taking on the appearance of a lightweight in this exchange.

Well I don't know what I'm supposed to say... We can't have the moon forever, nor can we live without it; If John is anywhere near truth our day would look like brunch and then there's night!

We just can't have it like that!

hm.... we should make the moon into several smaller pieces that is not so devestating if they crash. But that would never hold...

Hm... What do we do now? I learnt in school that it will leave, the moon...

    How embarassing...
