Fascinating. I remember designing a crude oil processing facility for Exxon in 1978 on a large barge. We designed on skids on a modular basis to be built on land and connected on the ship. The complex part was the sip stabilization system that was the most advanced for that time.

Technology has come a long way. The amount of hydrates that are available around the shore lines of continents, we should be using similar super ships to extract and process energy. What next? Floating cities for manufacturing and living?
