The sort of crisis I am referring to transcends anything historically recorded....
You could use the Movie "The day after tomorrow" as an example...
Where USA citizens become climate change refugees seeking asylum in an alienated Mexico.. sort of crisis...
    Not likely?
Who knows.. These days it seems anything is possible...

Due process of law: there isn't sufficient cause yet. I think it's a matter of time. Remember, in order to be removed from office, his party, the Republican Party, will have to act against him. And they aren't yet willing to do so.

He is aiming to prove you wrong and last more than 30 days

By your count he has 6 days to go

Then he's going to drive to a book place just before a grassy knoll in Dallas

    Just out of curiosity..
What happens if a POTUS commits a major crime (ie. shoots and kills a police officer for the fun of it in Times Square yelling out "I am God, I can do anything I want to do") and congress still wont impeach him...?

    Possible 1 of 2 outcomes

1/ the protection services would say he acted in self defence

2/ the protection services fill him with holes acting in their self defence

Congress wouldn't get a look in

Given the current state of the Republican Party, yeah, that might not be enough to get congressional Republicans to remove him from office. They would find someone or something to blame, e.g. the media, democrats, Obama, illegal aliens, RINOs, China, Mexico, Obamacare, death panels, et al. They have several scapegoats.

Trump has boasted about being able to kill people without being punished for it by his supporters.

    Take two

    Possible1 of 2 outcomes

1/ the protection services would say he acted in self defence

2/ the protection services fill him with holes acting in their self defence and to check the validity of his god status

Congress wouldn't get a look in

We bum rush the White House and tear that shit up. If the rule of law doesn't work, we only have mob rule.

Ordinarily, I would think a general strike would suffice to start. Then again, we're Americans, and organized labor is a strange thing to most of us.

Extremely unlikely to go that far, Republicans want to get reelected.

    Welcome (back) to America:

The son of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali was detained for hours by immigration officials at a Florida airport, a family friend told the Courier-Journal.

Muhammad Ali Jr., 44, and his mother Khalilah Camacho-Ali, the second wife of Muhammad Ali, were arriving at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Feb. 7 after returning from speaking at a Black History Month event in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They were pulled aside while going through customs because of their Arabic-sounding names, according to family friend and lawyer Chris Mancini.

This is Donald Trump's America. This deplorable stupidity is #WhatTheyVotedFor.

One of the most disturbing things about the Trump administration is it's passion for politicization of national security, e.g. the travel bans. Beginning with the conclusion and then trying to prove it might be oh so Republican, but it leads to disaster, e.g. George Juniors botched invasion of Iraq. And Trump is following in those footsteps.

General Flynn was fired because he told his people what to prove. He didn't begin with the evidence. He began with the conclusion and then tried to prove the conclusion. We don't need to repeat the mistakes of the George Junior administration. But that's exactly what the Trump administration is doing. They ordered the Department of Homeland Security to prove the need for their travel ban. Fortunately, we still have some good folks in DHS intelligence agencies.

    http://www.msnbc.com/the-last-word/...port-discredits-trump-travel-ban-884663363725

It should be deeply disturbing to all Americans that the Trump administration begins with the conclusion and then, when needed, seeks evidence to back up their conclusion. Just because Trump needs things to be true. It doesn't follow that the intelligence agencies should be his personal rubber stamp. If Republicans should have learned anything from the George Junior administration, they should have learned that using intelligence agencies as a rubber stamp for their political ambitions is a bad idea for the country at large.

What is the Trump administration so afraid of? Well the answer appears to be Russia and more specifically the investigation of Trump's Russian connections. They first leaned on the FBI in an unethical attempt to get the FBI to shoot down the stories about the administration's Russian connections. And now we learn that not only did the Trump administration attempt to enlist the FBI, they also, and more successfully, enlisted the aid of the Republican congressmen leading the investigation into his Russian links.

The Trump administration has enlisted senior members of the Senate and House intelligence committees, including the chairmen of those committees, to tell reporters, off the record, that there is no evidence of a Trump-Russian connection, and they complied. Now how can they know there are no connections before the investigation has even begun? And more importantly, how can these people be relied upon to do their job when they have so clearly demonstrated such unethical behaviors? They have very clearly demonstrated their partisanship trumps any quest for truth and are therefore unworthy to serve as unbiased investigators. This really underscores the need for an independent investigation.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...a3817ac21a5_story.html?utm_term=.e5931ca89944

Add to that, the fact that the White House has now, in an unprecedented fashion, banned any media outlet reporting anything about Trump's Russian connections from daily White House briefings.

Why is the Trump administration so afraid of an investigation into its Russian associations? Why are they willing to take these extraordinary risks to suppress this story? If there is no there, there, as Trump would have us believe, then why has the administration gone to such extremes to avoid an investigation of the matter and suppress this story?

By attempting to supress this story, Trump has created a "yuge" justification for his worst nightmare, an independent investigation of the matter.

I logged in specifically to post this story - but T beat me to it. I especially like where customs repeatedly asked: "where did you get the name Muhammad?" I wonder if he answered "My daddy... Perhaps you've heard of him?"

    Geeez... WTF?

Trump announced he wouldn't attend the White House Correspondent's Dinner this year. While unprecedented, it shouldn't be unexpected. Trump doesn't do self-depreciation nor does he handle criticism well. I expect Trump will not attend the White House Correspondent's dinner as long as he remains POTUS. He just cannot do the self-depreciation thing as all of his predecessors have. http://thehill.com/homenews/news/321202-trump-i-wont-attend-white-house-correspondents-dinner

NYT did, for the record, file a correction↱:

    Correction: February 25, 2017

Because of an editing error, an earlier version of this article referred incorrectly to Sean Spicer’s upbringing. He was New England bred, having been raised in Rhode Island; he was not “New England born.” (Mr. Spicer would not go on the record and give the correct facts pertaining to his birthplace.)

The "outsider" president is doing exactly what an "inside the beltway" republican president has always done...guns guns guns...

WASHINGTON — President Trump will instruct federal agencies on Monday to assemble a budget for the coming fiscal year that includes sharp increases in Defense Department spending and drastic enough cuts to domestic agencies that he can keep his promise to leave Social Security and Medicare alone

Trump to Ask for Sharp Increases in Military Spending, Officials Say

And all the rubes that thought he was going to help the middle class? You'll have to wait a little longer say like never.

Trump has promised much and delivered very little. His Army and Navy secretaries have withdrawn their nominations, and his administration is deeply mired in his incompetence.
