Consider 2-4 years of experiences due to activities of 50 million or so adults between ages of 18 & 70. If there were no unusual coincidences, I would conclude that there was some mystical activity preventing coincidences. Ergo, why make a fuss about reported coincidences?
Indeed. People keep going on about "one in a million chance!" yet we're never surprised when every week or so someone wins a lottery with odds of 10-million to one or worse (UK one is now reduced to 40-million or so to win the jackpot... yet it will still be won quite frequently). As I read somewhere: "coincidence is merely the obeyance of probability".
