    Hello,
    Greetings!!
    Simple question:

What can make different religions different from other
    religions?

    Is it due to:
    1. Different Deities
    2. Level of faith, from prime to intermediate to gross/Recent.
    3. Regional natural environmental variations.
    4. Regional Social culture
    5. Fear or security
    6. Health and longevity
    7. Morality
    9. Fulfiling of Natural or social duties for balance and harmony.
    10. Just nature of individuals.. Instinct
    11. Selfish Interests or deviated mind.

Many but just check these to get and give.

    Best wishes.

Level of faith as I mentioned in OP can be taken as faith in Prime god to faith in secondary but intermediate gods to faith in secondary but gross or recent or current god. Since, their level and state will be different, respective followers can also be influenced accordingly and differently. So a possible reason to getting variations in religions.

The moment I saw this subjet line, I thought of the Left Twix / Right Twix war:

Or, frankly, any other product ad on TV.
Ours is better because it's got Greeblies.
Ours is better because it's got Wrobbles.

    It's about market share.

Welcome here. Sorry bit odd. Why we come to discussion forums? I think it is to discuss, share, get or give views not just for entertainment or kill the superflous time available with us. Hence just utilize the time.
So on point no 2, when you follow your first fore father, fore fathers or father, you will get different teachings and gifts from them depending on prevalent atmosphere in their time. Hence you can also be influenced accordingly. You may either learn latin or english and judge which is more truthful and which is more rational. If you get teaching by following much older ancesstor, you may learn traveling just on own foit or on a horse or on a cart but if you will follow your father you can learn travel by an advanced mode of travel, car, bike etc. So level of faith matters for getting variations among different religions.

Answer to questions 1 to 11. Yes or so they would have it but there is little difference really as overall they are all based in false and unsupportable premise.

Welcome here. Normally, nothing should be false or true in absolute. But still, variations can also be apparent on false and unsupportable premises. Sorry, We can concentrate on variations and their possible logic not on its validity in still not absolute science.

Try again. Be positive. You can get. I feel every or most of it can be relevant.

'Try again' is what I'm saying to you.
You're not really following up your initial post with clarification.

That I left open to discussions so that all can share, get & give. From my POV, least odds should be there in those. Moreover, I feel one dynamic point no 2, I have already explained in details and rest all other points are common logic. Still you can ask for any other specific point.

To explain point no 2 better, following car example can help:

Few friends gone to a big car showroom to buy a suitable car for them. Salesman well attended and told safety and other features of many cars from old to latest models. Now reactions:
1st: No, I shall not buy any car because it is a risky affair. I shall manage by walking. (express prime truth)

2nd: I shall but a car with thick metal may it run slow. I shall be safe. (expressed intermediate truth)

3rd: I shall buy a reosonably strong car with reasonable features. I need both may be just reasomable.

4th: I shall buy a fast car with latest features. I shall reach early and fuel consumption will be less being lighter. May it be of thin gauge metal. Nowadays roads and road sense are very good, so no problem.

5th: being bit selfish, wanted to buy a best car, thought, if I shall buy now and may ask me to temp lend car or travel with me. So said, no I want best car but can not buy now
    .
So all 2 to 4 bought those cars, 1st not and 5th bought afterwords.

So now the out come from two travels. Bit later, to be continued in 2nd post.

Dude. We get the idea. 5 examples are not necessary. We know what you mean, just don;t agree with it.

This is, in my opinion, a very unrealistic scenario. I very much doubt that any but the tiniest fraction of religious followers examine the various options and pick one. One does not decide on a religion like one decides on a car.

People are, for the most part, indoctrinated into their religion through their family. They follow it from the moment they understand their parents. It often forms the very core of their being.
When you have faith in a god, you don't think 'I wonder what my other options are. Maybe I'll change my belief in God to something else.'

In fact, based on your approach to this, I'm not sure I'd even call you a religious person. You don't know what your faith is. You are rationalizing.

Good, you could understand logic behind my Car example, even without telling me in full. Now you have started understanding me, better. Can you tell, what you could understood?
Cascading effect do not mean, basis is invalid. Level of faith does impact outcome. You follow your first forefather or intermediatery forefathers or father or just self can impact your faith and practices.

The analogy is trivial to understand. But it doesn't shed light on your argument because it's not a valid analogy.

With few exceptions, people don't choose their religion like they choose a car.

Made examples are just for better and easy expression of some complex issue. Yes people get or choose religion in differently. But such difference can be language difference may not be sense difference. Hence, unless you explain your claim that "We know what you mean", how can I judge you could understood me rightly or not? And how can I proceed to post outcome part? So please explain.

Sorry, since DaveC didn't told, I am completing above example/logic:

    ........2

    OUTCOME

    First Tour:

They all went to attend common event on a sunny & pleasant clear day about 100 Kms far and had experience as under:

!st: Couldn't reach destination in time since walked on foot but enjoyed surroundings & weather best. Felt much tired but also more energetic.

2nd: Reached destination bit late and also enjoyed surrounding & weather, not felt much tired.

3rd: Reached in reasonable time, enjoyed reasonably surrounding & weather, felt reasonably tired.

4th: Reached early, didn't enjoyed surrounding & weather, felt much tired and stressed.

5th: Thought, I could not go in my car since didn't told others about the purchase. Better, I shall travel in better car of 4th. Also why to waste money so traveled with 4th and got similar experiance as 4th got.

Then after coming back, they started arguing & commenting on each other accordingly. However not much on 1st & 5th.

    Second Tour:

Few months later, they again had to go to similar destination but on a Bad, cloudy, raining, unclear weather. So the experience they had now as under:

1st: Couldn't reach destination. Had to come back. Got Cough & cold but reached back safely.

2nd to 4th along with 5th had similar serious unfortunate accidents on the way due to bad weather. So:

2nd: Car damaged, occupant had minor easily recoverable injuries. Life saved

3rd: Car damaged more, occupant had major but recoverable injuries.Life saved.

4th: Car damaged most, occupants had serious non recoverable injuries. Life?

5th: Since traveled with 4th, had similar serious non recoverable injuries alike 4th. Life?

In above example/logic, 1st can represent Prime basis/absolute truth, 2nd fundamental/basis/truth with some rationals, 3rd: Rationals, 4th: Irrational/odd and 5th: Selfish, lair in vested interests.

Now, you can better understand, what level can give what? Open to comments & correction.

    Best wishes.
