    Thor,

Outlandish cleary said that he didn't believe Coffee was a nazi, that he only did it to make a point. That it wasn't comparable to Vienna's avatar. Are you ignoring it on purpose to piss him off?

    Outlandish,

Anyway, it's just an avatar. Who cares? Is his avatar worse than his words? Would you be offended by his avatar even if he loved muslims? Your problem, Outlandish, is with the man not his avatar.

    Jaded,

I thought it was Kaiser Soze... Probably a couple of your weird European symbols on a letter or two.

    Coffee,

Isn't the true swastika supposed to be canted? I suppose it's open to interpretation isn't it. It certainly looks prettier when it's tilted though. And it lose some of the impact when it's just on the field of white. It needs some red for the blood of German Nationalism.

No, I'm not a nazi. But their use of symbols was a good lesson for humanity. Wanna bet on if Vienna's avatar would live up to the nazi symbolistic requirements? I don't think so...

The man is an embarrassment to the human race, and his avatar only further points to his madness. The lil strudel (Vienna) has lost the plot and hates anything foreign... But lets face it, he's more fun to play with when he's slightly (heh) insane

    .

And ermmm quick question... if Vienna has to change his avatar if it is deemed too offensive... does that mean that the rest of us with offensive av's have to change as well?

we are all human, and all the same in the dark.
racial prejudice, is a pigment of the imagination. (pigment not figment is intended)
to be against someone for what they say, is condemning yourself to a life of hate.
and bring's you down to there level, rise above it.

It would seem to me that all of those people you mention don't matter to you also, so I'm in great company.

It is to bad you can't get educated and see that your views are damaging to yourself and those around you. No one can live in this world today without the aid and assistance of many ethnic peoples and whether you realise it or not those that you are bigot against still help you everyday in many ways.

Are you so sensitive that you would jump at every little offensive behavior? Were you so protected that you can't stand a little negativity?

But Cosmic, I apologize, I didn't realize that I had to pronounce what I did to you. Since you obviously can't think for youself, let me help you. Its called making an example. I make offensive comments and guess what, there's nothing you can do about it. In other words, just because you don't like someones avatar doesn't mean you have to complain about it all the time, understand? Or is that to hard for you to understand as well?

Liberals like you who can't see past such stupid name calling is the reason why there still is racism.

In fact, Pokemon is very evil. Does anybody here remember Swastika Pikachu?

i would say he ought to be able to express his opposition to the use of the symbol, but i am opposed to censorship due simply to one person's taking offense. deal.

what a debate. all started over 1 person's avatar, and they haven't even shown up here to talk. And if his/her avatar was anything, why do we worry. Its called freedom of speech friends, and he can post what he wants, and its your right as much as anyone else's to argue and bicker and oppose them. See? it works both ways. so stop complaining and post your own feelings. you can't always be in the middle. choose a side and stick with it. Don't be a john Kerry. :m:

Of course, the swastika is an ancient symbol that has been used for millenia. The nazi's coopted one form of it and ruined it for the rest. Just goes to show how well their symbolic sensibilities were refined.

I still say Hitler would have shitcanned Vienna's avatar because it's not compelling enough. It doesn't have that... special... something...

And, it looks better when it's tilted. IMO.

Anyone can find anything offensive in just about any place and in any person. We just have to learn to live together. It's called diversity. Who cares if someone objects to an avatar. It's just an image chosen by the user. If it offends, fine. I don't find Vienna's avatar offensive although I do not agree with what I take it to say. But that might just be Vienna's objecion to the whole Pakistan/India troubles as of late.

I do not find CC's avatar offensive, you can see why in a huge thread I made two or so months back informing people of the true meaning of the Swastika.

I do however, find hotsexyangelprincess' avatar offensive as there has been many a time when a shopping mum (it's always the mum's) ram my ass or my heel with their damn trollies! (shopping cart)

is obviously a capitalistic symbol. It might be offensive to communists and socialists.

it is a symbol of consumerism. Consumerism killed more people than Nazism.

What if someone had a penis as an avatar?

    Would that be offensive?

Nope, it's a part of the human anotamy. No more offensive than having a hand, foot or elbow. Just some social norms permit people not to show theirs in public. But this isn't you're average place so not many social norms apply
