I think I'm going to cave and score a vive. I just went to the Microsoft store here in St. Louis and tried the demo. I've been wanting to try it forever, so that was cool. My wife and daughter thought it was awesome. I thought it was good, but a smidge disappointing in the limited view angle. It felt like a porthole stuck to my face, though which I could look around freely, zero lag. Impressive from the lag standpoint, but the lack of peripheral vision is really kind of a drag. Anyone else getting down with the VR scene? I'm probably waiting until tax return, but doing it for sure. Also, hi sciforums. Long time no see.
