I don't see Mexico taking over America internally. It just doesn't seem likely to me.

Now let's look at robotics in warfare. Do you think that machines will replace humans in the field of combat?

    Yes....

Japanese exoskeletons, remote controlled tanks/other weapons platforms, unmanned fighters, ASIMO, Mobile Suits ( that one might not come for a long time )....

    ???

    Sweet, RC wars.

In all seriousness, I wonder what the impact in combat that will have.

Not sure I want that. Computerized weapons I mean. It would be so easy for the computer to malfunction.

Not sure i've heard of this.

A really long time. I'm not sure those can be implemented any time soon.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HAL_5

    HAL-5 exoskeleton

I meant like remote controlled fighters and unmanned automatic spy planes.

    ASIMO

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASIMO

Japanese scientists made it controllable by brain waves

Mobile Suits are possible in the near future, seeing how awesome Japanese robotic tech is. The problem will be the pilot.

That is awesome. Too bad it can't move or fight.

You always seem to bring up Mobile Suits. Obsession? I think so.

Granted they are a cool idea, but let's stick with more 'on the ground' thoughts and less 'in the cloud' ideas.

I am a huge mech anime otaku.

ASIMO and Japanese exoskeletons however already exists and they are awesome.

Interesting. But what do you think of computerizing weapons?

I don't think very much of them, no initiative only good for aiming...

I'm more worried about they're learning capabilities. What if they could learn that they are superior?

They are not, the "AI" ( note the quotations ) so far are very crappy. Quantum computers aren't doing so well either yet seeing the most complex equations for quantum computers so far is 3x5=15

But, we progress. Inevitably computers will be improved.

Yes, depends on how long it takes. It won't be like Terminators though.

Oh okay, but yeah it will be a long time. Don't worry, we would have superhumans and Mobile Suits by then, the International Gundam Society is working on it

Quantum Computers can't have any vibration, or radiation, so it have its flaws. Silicon computing power is not strong enough to create an intelligent enough AI to take over the world.
