I wouldn't blame him if he wished for life and rebelled against tyranny, or if he didn't wish to be I'd tempt him with belief. All things is a virtue. Satan is nil, and Lucifer is the arch forevermore.

Only in Indiana. In Indiana you can deny rights to satan if you are a family run business. Since god is every bodys father, he has the final word.

    In Indiana anyway.

So slaves should never demand a better deal. Got ya.

    You are like your God.

"Whoever imagines himself a favorite with God,
    holds other people in contempt.
Whenever a man believes that he has the exact truth from God,
there is in that man no spirit of compromise.
    He has not the modesty born of the imperfections of human nature;
he has the arrogance of theological certainty and the tyranny born of ignorant assurance.
Believing himself to be the slave of God,
    he imitates his master,
    and of all tyrants,
the worst is a slave in power."
    --Robert Ingersoll

Equal to the one denying those rights. Meaning an abolition of denying that right by changing the status quo.

    No not got me.

I kind of said the opposite. Slavery is wrong and slaves have every right not to be slaves.

But Satan was not a slave. So I can't see the relevance of your analogy.

Nor actually of why Robert Ingersoll should adds any weight to your point.

Look, I will say this, the whole question of this thread is a bit silly. But if you are going to ask such questions you should debate within the confines or the premise you set.

I do tend to go for the quick kill. I am not a wordy guy.

If Satan was not a slave, then she, as depicted in Vatican art, should have been free to rebel in heaven without fear of banishment along with a full third of the heavenly host.

God seemed to fear further contamination of angels and decided to banish a lot of his holdings.

He then banishes Satan and where does he put them?

Right with his new humans which one would think he would not want corrupted by Satan either.

God either is really stupid or too bright for me.

Do you see that as a good and intelligent move for a tyrant?

The opportunity to lead. As one would expect in a tyranny.

You are mistaken: "Where the Spirit of The Lord is, there is Liberty"

You are suffering from normalcy bias based on your current situation: "...that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. -----> http://www.apologeticsindex.org/353-stockholm-syndrome

But everyone can never have equal rights then.. not everyone can lead at the same time.

How would that work in a place of employment? Does everyone get a chance to be the CEO?

You have to keep in mind that GIA doesn't post to start discussions, he posts to bash religion. Thus his thread subjects tend towards "if God makes your life miserable and kills all your friends and family, can you really call him good?" or things at that level of "intelligent discussion."

Satan was originally the left hand man of God. As Lucifer, he was the morning star involved in creation. As creation evolves, Lucifer evolves and becomes Satan, who is still the left hand man of God. The easiest place to see this is the book of Job. In this book, Satan tries to get God to punish Job, as a test of Job's faith. God listens to Satan advice and takes away Job's good fortune and bringing Job piles of bad fortune.

Job accepts his new fate and remains faithful. Satan believed Job only loved God because Job was well off in life. When Job proves otherwise, not knowing about the test, God starts to question the motives of Satan. Satan still has a lot of control, in heaven, but there is falling out between Satan and God.

Satan was still in Heaven at the time of Jesus. In bible tradition, Satan is not thrown out of heaven until the bible prophesies of Revelations, which was written decades after the death of Jesus. Something to ponder is, if the end of time, describe by revelations, has not yet happened, that means Satan is still in heaven. If Satan was already out of heaven, that means the prophesy are completed, because once out of heaven Satan has only a short time until he is sealed.

Revelation 12:7-12New King James Version (NKJV)
    Satan Thrown Out of Heaven
7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them[a] in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

One problem though Wellwisher - you say he only has a "short time until he is sealed"...

A short time according to whom? Us humans have a pretty interesting notion of time... like the idea of the "seven days" of Genesis and creation... naturally, people hear "days" and think 24 hours... but what's to say that a "day" to one such as God is not weeks, months, years, or even longer?

Correct but to deny the opportunity is what makes a tyranny.

Everyone qualified should have a crack at it. Someone owns that company. They do not own the people who work in it.

In the heavenly tyranny , God owns those there if there is no equality.

What is your answer to that great question?

I would say that that is a fair representation of Job and his answer should have been that if a God were actually in charge and doing as you say then as Job indicates, that God would be quite the satanic prick.

    Do you agree?
