Can anyone put the past aside and give me a practical solution of what the President should be doing at this moment and the future based on the current situations? I have a few options suggested below: 1. Increase the level of aggressiveness. 2. Keep doing exactly what he is doing. 3. Do nothing and wait until something happens then react only. 4. Release all suspected detainees and prisoners. 5. Withdraw all troops from Iraq and Afganistan and leave them alone. 6. Release Saddam and give him back Iraq. 7. Ask Bin Laden to include U.S. in a truce that Al Quaida will not attack if the U.S. agrees to withdraw all troops from the whole middle east region.

It would cause an enormous amount of uproar initially, but I think the best long term option would be 5. Withdraw all troops. Only exception are special ops deployed to hunt specific targets ie, bin laden. Defer all those resources and money to making national security rock solid. Fight the radicals idealogically and through cooperation with other governments. Put intense pressure on foreign governments to crack down hard on radicals. Implement serious economic/trade penalities for governments that do not, ie. saudi arabia. It may sound far fetched, but I stand by the basic ideal that we should worry about ourselves (as a nation) and not be trying to change the world at large.
