    Tell me why atheists care?

If they are atheist so what? Why do need vindication from others to support there rubbish theory on the world and universe.

If they think the human race is isolated, why do they care about others whom do not?

First of all, I don't like in Iowa, nor have I ever heard of the Iowa Atheists and Freethinkers, so "I'm" not selling anything. Secondly, neither are they; there is no purchase required, they aren't offering goods or services offered, so it isn't a product at all.

Finally, how does advertising equate to militancy?

Anti-faith is really negative might not be the truth and shouldn't be advertised.

It's like something really great that can exist turned up not real.

I have a number of goals, purposes and objectives in my life, usually relative to particular situations, But I can't think of any objectives that I have simply because I'm an atheist.

What militancy? I think that I'm probably one one of the more relaxed, sedate and thoughtful people on Sciforums.

Obviously there are militant atheists out there. What motivates them? Probably the same kind of things that motivate Christian missionaries and radical political activists.

There's a certain kind of true-believer personality who feels driven to convert the planet. We can find examples of that kind of person in pretty much any group, especially ones that seem to represent a cause.

I'd still love to know what constitutes a "militant atheist." The one thing (well, one of the things) you have in common with theists is your irrational fear of atheism. You brand them as militants why? You can't seem to explain it.

So you are saying there is an objective of a group that you belong to .
So what is the objective ?

No, he said he has personal objectives, and that none of them are due to his atheism.

"Atheism" has no objectives of its own.

It's a simple point, but one that theists seem hesitant to concede, even on the rare occasion when they understand it.

    I did? News to me.

What I said is that I don't know of any objectives in my life that can be attributed to my being an atheist.

That doesn't mean that I don't intend to log off my computer and have lunch soon. That's my immediate short-term objective. This evening I'll be watching the San Jose Sharks hockey game. That's my objective then.

Atheism doesn't have anything to do with that stuff.

I was referring to those atheists out there who feel some drive to convert the world to atheism, to condemn and discredit theism (and often 'religion' more broadly) and maybe even to make those obscurantist abominations finally disappear. Some become activists in that cause.

We can find similar evangelical personalities among Christians (missionaries almost paradigmatically fit that description), among socialists, or whatever it might happen to be.

My suspicion is that it might have more to do with personality types than with whatever the particular cause is, though some causes do seem to lend themselves to militancy much more than others.

Atheism seems pretty benign in that regard. Christianity has a much worse record. In reality, atheism is probably closer to herding cats than it is to a mass social-change movement.

Atheists would not even be anywhere close to what they are without mind control techs that can send out microwaves to prohibit humans brains.

Turning of brain receptors in all people in nato is cheating, and does not prove atheists right. It just proves that religions are right.

    Atheists really are morons.
