Some places in South America more than others.

The US State Department has the lowest warning level (level 1, take normal precautions) for Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. (That's similar to Europe.)

Chile is widely praised as a good vacation destination, scenic, friendly and reasonably well developed.

Chicago is safe as long as you stay out of certain neighborhoods. I understand that diversity can be scary for Canadians but it's really only a few neighborhoods that you need to worry about.

    Diversity is our middle name.

Crime scares us. Diversity is who we are.

That's how I think about Canada too. Just look at all of the sports that are popular in Canada...hockey and ...well, there's just too many more to list.

I like Canadian drinks, let's see there's beer and well...again the list is just to long to list.

When I think of black people, of course Canada comes to mind. I'm pretty sure all of your criminals want to move down here along with most of the rest of your citizens. I've got to check into this but now that I think about it, I think that most of our crime is due to all the Canadians who move down this way. Thanks a lot!

That's only because of the weather. In Canada, you can walk into a bank wearing a ski- mask and nobody bats an eye. (There are no security guards anyway.)

Picking crime over the weather? So you are arguing that Canadians are non-violent but not so smart as well?

You are an impressive man, Dave. As Trump says, "I am, like, a really smart person!"

I don't lock my doors. I've never been assaulted or robbed. Nothing has ever been stolen from me. But hey, I'm only 67, give it time.

I like Canada. It's pretty nice for a country that is too expensive where there is nothing to do.

Don't travel alone, get a local English speaking tour guide to escort you.

In this context, "smart" would be subjective.

I'd say it has more to do with toughness versus money. Canadians are tough enough to survive the winter, whereas Americans die like flies every time it snows. Most of us spend the winter here because we don't have the money to fly south.

If you were tough, you wouldn't want to fly south would you? Let's face it, the reason Canadians don't fly south is the crime in Mexico. If they were tough, that wouldn't be a problem, eh amigo?

You haven't been reading this thread. I said it as a joke but if you had read the thread you would get it.

Apparently Canada is safe and Canadians are afraid to go elsewhere due to safety concerns.
