and who came up with blues?
who came up with jazz?

as far as i know, "white" ppl came up with yodeling, polka, and bag-pipe music. the rest is directly or indirectly influenced by "black" music.

You're right of course. There's quite a bit of European music thats very good good. However, what I've always found ironic is the fact that the metal you white power folks love so much has clear roots in rock music which has clear roots in blues and jazz. Hardly pure white art forms.

If someone would like to see a return to that type of music and dancing, that's their right to feel that way. I only listen to black metal (no, not african metal), which is basically classical/folk played on guitar and has no real connection to 'rock' music whatsoever.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with 'negroes' playing music or making music. However, the majority of it does suck.

CS is just getting a rise out of you all, so take it with a grain of salt.

 

If someone would like to see a return to that type of music and dancing plain and simple i would have no problem with it. When someone spews out racist drivel about how it's a conspiracy on the part of the jews and the blacks to keep euro music down i have a problem with it. I can't say I'm familiar with the "black betal" genre. I've listened to classical guitar before though...I can't imagine it being called black metal.
If your "black metal" genre has no roots in "metal" then why call it "black metal" Do you really feel that this genre evolved completely independantly of any influence from rock music or metal?

Well, I read both of your posts. In the first post you attack CS for being a bigot because of his statements about Blacks and Jews. In your second post you pick out an aspect of this culture that CS apparently longs for, and you ridicule it as "fucking hilarious". Let anybody who is interested read your two posts and decide for themselves. To me, it's very clear that you are as much of a bigot as CS. What's really "fucking hilarious" is that, after you staked out the moral high ground by denouncing CS' bigotry, you then showed everyone that you are a bigot also.

 

The term 'Black Metal' has an embarassing past. The words were first used on a Venom album. Venom was basically Black Sabbath played ten times fast with corny satanic lyrics and fakey shows. Nothing of importance to metal. However, bands like Bathory and King Diamond caught on and started making 'black metal', but this time it would include epic keyboards and archaic song structures combined with death metal metal heaviness. Bathory would influence a number of bands, namely Mayhem, Emperor, Burzum, and Darkthrone, who would move so far out into classical theory that they no longer resembled any type of 'heavy metal' or 'death metal'. It stands as the closest thing to classical/romantic right now, other than um...neoclassical. So basically a genre started as a joke became a huge deal, especially with all of the arson, murder, and extreme politics.

 

But you have to admit, it wouldn't have existed without metal.
