I would argue that it is in fact you that needs to get your facts straight. The Australian government severely restricts immigration, this prevents doctors who are trained overseas from coming to live and work in Australia. If they didn't do this than any attempts of Australian doctors to reduce the supply of health care in Australia (and thus drive up their profits) would be futile as doctors and nurses and any other profession would have an incentive to come here because of the high profits in that industry, thus increasing the supply and therefore reducing the cost. The government restricts the market in one way and then attempts to counteract it in another way. All these shenanigans with medical colleges and universities would not be necessary or relevant.
