Larger means you have to eat more. Survival of the fittest has already resulted in all these types being sucessful. Polar bears might become rare, because of their specialized diet.

Black bears are far more numerous than polar bears and brown bears. They are adaptable and versatile, they can live amongst people, if you had to bet on one species winning out in the end it's clearly black bears. Polar bears are specialised for the arctic north, as the polar ice cap has receeded so have polar bears. They used to be as far south as england. It seems as though the ice caps could disappear completely, and unfortunately that will be the end of the noble polar bears, whose white fur matches their pure christian soul.

What you don't see in that picture is the polar bear just out of frame, which is supervising the black bear as it does what the polar bear told it to do.
We need affirmative action for Black Bears to offset the racist advantage White Bears have in larger size!
A Kodiak Brown Bear can weigh up to 1600 pounds - a far cry from a Polar Bear (600-1200 pounds). Polar Bears are thought to have evolved white so as to blend into their snow environment for survival for hunting. Neither Black Bears, nor Brown Bears, are inferior in any way to a white Polar Bear. Where did you ever get this notion from? If anything, Black Bears are the most resourceful as they have adapted to live off of nuts and berries as well as small mammals; while Polar Bears mostly live off of seals and crustaceans like crabs and shellfish. Brown Bears rule!
Polar bears eat seals and cetaceans, not crustaceans (at least not with anything close to regularity). They haul f-ing whales out of the water. Small whales, but whales none the less. Brown bears eat berries and clams and fish, pretty gay, just quietly. And the heaviest bears are polar bears, heavier than kodiaks. On average, and highest weight recorded (over 2000lbs)
