The point was to spark a discussion on why if Spain withdraws from Iraq they are sending the WRONG message to AL Queda. By changing their government as an act of sacrificial appeasement to the Islamic thugs who murdered two hundred of their citizens, they have received an official communication from them in which they inform them that their capitulation is found acceptable. Another thing, I respect the democratic process that is playing itself out in Spain. They have the right to throw out their "bums" just as we have the right to throw out ours. If we felt we had been deceived over 9/11, how do you think Bush would fare this November? Not too well, I'd imagine. However, now that the socialists have won their prize, they should be a little more "global" in their thinking. Does Mr. Z. realize what he has done to half the EU in promising to remove his troops from Iraq? He has guaranteed that more people will die; he has proven to al Qaida that they can influence Western governments (European ones, anyway) to conform to their will. I wonder how many people will be riding the subway in Rome and London prior to elections there.
