    It sucks soullust.

Let me ask you a few questions.

How many cruisers does Canada's navy have?

How many escort and light carriers?

How many fleet and super carriers?

How many stealth aircraft do you have?

Just to save you some time, the answer to each one of those is a resounding 0.

What are you going to fight a world war with? 3 destroyers and a few light boats?

A navy is a true show of power, for they are the first to be deployed.

True, but I don't think Canada is going to invade anyone, even Harper is not stupid enough for that.

Then again, how many MBTs does Canada have?

The best they have as far as a navy are three destroyers... that's about it. they have less than 20,000 sailors, enlisted and commissioned combined...

Since Fedr808 asked it, why should I ask it again? I am not defending Canada, I am proving it's military sucks.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_Canada

read our history, pound for pound we would match any millitary, its sad, there are some people who are so disrespectfull when they obviousely know very little.

for a shity millitary, we seem to do some good, and we were allways out numbered, but we come on top, hsistory prooves that, and so does the present but then again i guess facts mean nothing?

Canada proved another point, having the biggest gun's and greatest ego, doesn't allways win wars. canada can milliterize it self with in 6 months, we did it done it and can easly do it again.

Nobody's saying they weren't good. In fact they made up one fifth of the D-Day invasion force. They were also very helpful in the Western front of WWI.

    Match any military?

Name one major country you could beat.

Dude, considering what a pathetic military you have, you'd be lucky to last a month.

Your military sucks, history does not make an inkling of difference especially when it was in WW2 when you were using a lot of OUR equipment and OUR training.

Who the hell do you think you could take on with 3 pathetic loser destroyers? A Texan in a rubber dingy would be just as effective.

A squadron from one of our carriers could send you to the bottem without breaking a sweat.

And theyre not even top of the line, sure some of the US destroyers are a few decades old, but considering theyre Canada's only defense they should at least have some technological advance.

I'd have to back up soullust on that one Fedr: the ability of Canadian troops has rarely been questioned.
Give them the equipment and they'll do the job, as history has shown.

They can really hold there own. As I stated before, they helped us out big-time in the D-Day invasion.

We did well for a British Dominion during WWI. Problem is we don't have the right equipment.

Canada, has a hard time keeping up it's gear, i mean every time the English side of Canada wants to buy new toy's the French yip and threaten to leave Canada with there bull shit.

The point is that i am trying to make here, even though we have such a split country, Pro-militarize English(conservative) and the piss me off morons anti-militarize French (liberal).

the only time we get to build our equipment up is during war times, but we keep our solders trained and even though we have little of the big name toy's b4 going into a war we show, up, and we hold our own, and we arm fast.

when i served in desert storm, it was an honor to fight along side the American forces, and i could jump into just about any American machinery and operate it with ease just as any American could jump into a Canadians. were almost technically equally, and half our modern day equipment is joint R&D.

we just have alot less, both because you have us out numbered 10 to 1 in every aspect, population, GDP, etc and our stupid polititions. but when the war breaks out we will be there in the front lines, and you never know maybe it will be a Canadian who saves you personally, i know lots of Americans who thanks me for saving there ass, as i thank lots of Americans for saving my ass. and even though you said you would never want a canadian watching your back, How does it feel that We all ready did, and still are.

Yah, but Im talking about solo and on their own. And this isn't history, this is modern day, the canadian military is in no position to fight a war. 3 destroyers is the limit of their long range military ability.
