The cutting of thes breasts can usually be tied to when the murderer was young, heavily influenced by older sister siblings, and sometimes grosely connected to the mother-status. It shows great contempt, hate and psychotic tendencies, either by a schizophrenic, or some type of extreme compulsive disorder.
Every geographic location has a particular chemical make-up. Simply by being in that location you are breathing the air, and taking in the chemicals in the environment. Those trace amounts of chemicals grow into the hair. Eventually your hair has many microscopic layers that contain those elements. They then can determine the rate of hair growth and calculate when the person was in the environment.
That's how they do drug testing in companies that are really serious about it rather than just trying to placate the drug nazis with piss tests. Drugs leave traces of residue in your hair as it grows out.
