X(3872) mystery meson

    It looks like they have discovered a new particle (<i>classified as X(3872)</i>)... the particle has been dubbed the <b>"mystery meson"</b> after briefly been seen in an atom smasher .

    I saw that too, at the Institute of Physics website. They're proposing a four-quark particle, or possibly a 'molecular' structure. The article at http://www.physicsweb.org/article/news/7/11/7 has a couple of useful links as well.
