yin and yang are two balanced opposites. i believe they are sometimes used as symbols of suffering and happiness and how the two are necessarily balanced. without suffering, there is no joy. the idea corresponds to how the human mind works in its basics. our senses work by relating input to other input. we view a color by how it is different from other colors around it. if you look at optical illusions, you can see how this is. http://www.scientificpsychic.com/graphics/
Well, that is about a fraction of its use now a days from what I have learned about it. Wikipedia.com has a good refference to it. Shows alot more of its uses. But that is if you trust wikipedia. Although I don't see why they have any reason to lie about "yin and yang".
heh, well its just my experience with the terms. i know that pretty much all the perspectives on yin and yang come down to balanced opposites, but i don't really know much else.
Well, as long as you know that then thats basically all you need to know. It applys to all oposites. i.e. White and black ect.
How? I felt it was a simple answer. What more did I need to explain to him that wasn't already said on here? I don't see anything, do you? Well it's no problem I understand your stupidity.
Ok, so we can safely say that the third page is a waste of this thread...seriously, everyone, this is childish, Happeh, stop being an ass and get with the program, and everyone else, quit trying to sink to his level and JUST IGNORE HIM. This isn't a flame thread.
lol. Not being offensive or trying to argue with you. But I've never seen so many commas in a sentence.
No worries. I just wanted to know what it felt like to be a total jerk to someone. I am kind of embarrassed actually. It is not me at all.
No, yin and yang is originally a Taoist principle, and Taoism originated in China, the heart of the Far East.
oh im sorry about my last post i got east and west wrong, i thought west was east and east was west ....... sorry
With all do respect, there is not much left to talk about "yin and yang", so I suppose it doesn't matter.
