What ever you have learned or been conditioned to believe comes out in some form to others and speaks of meaning. THe meaning is arbitrary. If it is true that the laws of nature are deterministic, then the concept of responsibility is an illusion. However that is not the case. Free will is a necessary survival mechanism. It makes sense to think as the laws of physics (and perception, as it is governed by conditioning and beliefs) to be the limit to what can be done. Information through perception is subjective. Objects are interpreted and stored in memory. They are given a meaning. It is completely arbitrary however.
